What’s up, what’s up my name is Chris Kubbernus, my friends call me Kubby and I’m taking over Dan’s Snapchat for a little bit. Now for those of you who have no clue who I am don’t feel bad, most people don’t so that’s heartbreaking but that’s also motivating! So who the hell am I? Well I’m an entrepreneur. I’m a Digital Marketing expert, whatever the f*ck that means?

At the tender age, the tender age of years old I started building websites it was. This song is from, I just had to find this is Brian McKnight ‘Anytime’, does anybody remember this song? Ok back to reality here. Ok, so and I started my first company when I was years old and why am I telling you guys all of this? I’m telling you this because I’m hoping I can help any of you out there, you know, pre entrepreneurs, people that want to do their own business I want to help you guys get started.

1:07 Most people start companies the wrong way

The thing is most people start companies the wrong way and I want to teach you guys how to start it the right way. So tip number one coming up…

1:25 Tip number 1: Start with the customer in mind

Alright, so you have an idea you say like I want to sell, I’m gonna sell shoes or something like I want to sell shoes or I want to you know I make this stuff and I want to, to sell. And then you go out and you start this company maybe you buy a ton of shoes that you want to sell online or maybe you start making a bunch of stuff out of paper that you’re gonna sell.

And this is why companies fail, this is why a lot of companies fail not all companies but you need to reverse this and I’ll show you how are you ready? So, instead of going out, buying a bunch of inventory and doing it like this, you first got to find your customers right? Customers are key!

1:59 Where to find your first customers

The best place to find customers is not going out and doing a bunch of advertising or trying to find new people, no! They’re sitting right there with you. They’re your friends and your family, they’re your network, they’re the people that you already know and they trust you. You need to talk to them first before anybody.

2:24 How to find your customers

Here’s what you do, you create a list, you write them down, you get a piece of paper. Get a piece of paper and a pen and you start making a list right, of all the people that could buy from you and then you call them up each individual and say, ‘hey I’ve got this product’. The thing is, is that so many people go and try and find new customers when customers are right there right?

And some people might say, ‘well I’m embarrassed to talk to my family and friends about that’. If you can’t sell this amazing product that you’ve got or that you’re making to your family and friends how are you going to sell it to a complete stranger? Don’t be afraid right? Think of it is like if you open up a coffee shop today who would be your first customers? You’d tell all of your friends and family, ‘hey come by for some coffee!’ Listen that’s all from me

3:13 Goodbye from Kubby

I hope those tips inspire you, I hope that makes you think about getting your customer first and you know, using your network and Dan thank you so much Dan the man for letting me take over your Snapchat and you know if you want to follow me I’m gonna leave you guys some links that you can, you know, check me out on.
