This versatile tripod is strong enough to hold all of your equipment and gives you the options of holding your Livestream setup, placing it on a flat surface, or (if you’re brave) wrapping it around another object.
This isn’t the most exciting bit of kit but it’s strong enough to get that professional looking stable footage while holding the weight of a microphone, phone and, video lamp.
Again this isn’t the most exciting bit of kit you’ll have in your bag but it’ll give you room to mount your microphone and your video lamp on one side of the tripod. Job done!
This microphone may be the most expensive bit of kit but you can use it for your DSLR too. It’s also small enough to fit on your Live Stream setup without getting in the way of your lighting.
Rode mics are usually made for DSLR cameras. This wire allows you to record directly to your Iphone. This setup WILL NOT work without this wire (trust us we tried).
This video lamp is brilliant. It makes the biggest difference for our video footage and really helps you to jump the gap from looking like an amateur to a Pro!

Great video with awesome tips. Sad that the light is not shipped to the USA. I really love that light, will do some research to find out if the manufacturer has a similar product that is sold in the US. Thanks again for a great video.
Thanks for the great feedback Vilma. We’re really glad you liked it! Are you currently livestreaming?
Sorry Lloyd I just saw your response. As a matter of fact I will be doing my first public interview/Live Stream today. I’ll be speaking with an elected official (politician) & we’re discussing issues affecting women owned businesses in the US. I’ll be using an Iographer to hold my phone and a tripod. I absolutely love reading your blogs and have learned a great deal from you & your brother. Keep up the great work, your efforts are very appreciated!
Wow that’s brilliant, let us know where we can see the interview. I’d love to check it out. Thanks for the great feedback Vilma, we’re both so happy to hear that you love our blogs and you’ve learned so much!

Brilliant and SO helpful, as always, guys – another great video to bookmark! (How did you manage to shoot this video with all of the equipment being filmed though? …Were they all on 2 for 1 offers?) 😉 Natalie
Haha thanks for the comment Natalie and great point! 😉

This is really helpful – thanks! One question, the microphone doesn’t come with a wind-shield. Is it worth getting one (like you have in your vid)?
Hey Sophie,
The microphone does come with a wind shield (called a dead cat), you can see it in the photos (it looks like a fluffy ball).
Hope this helps!

Thanks Dan. Also, I have an i-phone 7 which doesn’t have a headphones socket… any idea on a wireless microphone that would work?
Hey Sophie,
Your iPhone should have come with an adaptor which allows you to plug in an aux lead to your phone.
The LAV MIC We’ve shared in this article will work with this adaptor.
Do you have the adaptor?
Best,
Dan
Of course! Technology definitely getting the better of me these days…
