Would you like an innovative way to engage and build relationships with your Twitter followers?
Boomerang is a new App made by Instagram which shoots one-second bursts of 5 photos and turns them into a silent video which plays forward and then reverses over and over in a loop.
This post will explain why and how boomerang can be used to engage and build relationships with your Twitter followers.
How can Boomerang engage Twitter followers?
With the constant noise of the same people, posting the same content, in the same way, it’s hard to stick out right? Well, boomerang provides you with an opportunity to innovate and BE DIFFERENT.
Instead of just writing a tweet to thank someone for retweeting you, or replying to someone’s Tweet with a comment, you can use boomerang to create personalised, fun, looping videos.
Check out some of the examples I've used to engage my Twitter followers and make them smile below;
How to use Boomerang with Twitter
1. Firstly download the App on IOS or Android, open it up, point the camera and hold down the circle button.
2. Click the save button.
3. Next time you engage with someone on Twitter add in a personalised ‘boomerang’ from your Camera Roll.
Here's an example of a response I received from Kristi Hines (freelance writer for Hubspot, Content Marketing Institute, Social Media Examiner & more) after using Boomerang on Twitter.
@dknowlton1 I don't get many video / gif responses, so that makes my day! :)
