Did you know you can find, upload and recycle 50+ of your greatest Tweets in 2 minutes or less?

When I first read that, I was a bit amazed – and quite curious. Yet, sure enough, it’s entirely doable, and quickly. This blog and accompanying video tutorial will show you exactly how to do it.
This video tutorial will teach you 3 important things;

1. How to find your top performing Tweets.

2. How to export your top performing Tweets.

3. How to upload and schedule your top performing Tweets.

The way this strategy works is simple. It involves the following 3 simple steps;

Step 1 Export your Tweets

Within Twitter’s in built analytics (https://analytics.twitter.com) you can export up to 3 months’ worth of Tweets which you have previously posted.

This is done by clicking on ‘Tweets’ within Twitter Analytics, the choosing a relevant date range, then clicking ‘export data’.

Step 2 Find your top performing Tweets

When the data is exported to excel/google docs you will see a column with the Tweet content and then lots of other performance related columns. These include impressions, engagements, retweets, link clicks video views etc.

From here you can order the Tweets for the various performance related columns. This will result in the top performing Tweets coming to the top of the page.

Once you are happy with the Tweets you can copy them into a new excel file and save it.

TOP TIP: Remember to only save the Tweet’s content which is under the ‘Tweet text’ column.

Step 3 Upload your top performing Tweets in Bulk

There is an awesome free tool which works in conjunction with Buffer (a free Social Media scheduling tool) called Bulk Buffer.

If you have not used Buffer before then it is very simple, click here and watch this tutorial I recently made to quickly sign up and get to grips with the free online tool: Social Media Automation: A quick start guide for beginners

Once you have an account, you can go to Bulk Buffer, sign in with your Buffer account, and upload the list of Tweets you saved before in excel/Google Docs.

TOP TIP: Remember to vary the text used in each Tweet slightly to mix things up a bit! The text can easily be edited in buffer.

Recycling old Tweets that have proven to be a success is a great way of ensuring your Tweets are a success.

In addition, using a great free tool like Buffer and Bulk Buffer will save you a shed load of time and effort and still produce awesome results.

    Great tips here Dan. You can also bulk upload to Hootsuite via a spreadsheet if you pay for the Pro version at around $10 per month.

  • Hi Emma, thanks for the feedback and advice on Hootsuite. It sounds like a similar plan to buffer, have you had a chance to compare the two scheduling tools? I’ve always used Buffer and have been really pleased with it but have never tried Hootsuite.
